The Clerks
The Clerks formed in early spring '04 with Max (vox and guitars) and Alex (vox, guitars and keyboards) writing/recording songs in their basement flat in Paris. Joined by Gasp (bass guitar) and Cam (drums), they have played almost 70 gigs over the past two years (including Dot To Dot 06 festival, Mercury Rev / The Earlies / Starsailor support...) and have moved out to Manchester. Their debut single, 'The Dissidents', was out on August 14th on Art/Goes/Pop, and has been played several times by Steve Lamacq on Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music.
